THE IMPEACHMENT OF PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP
Confirmed: Democrats to Unveil Articles of Impeachment in the AM – Content Still TBD
House Democrats will make the a historic announcement at 9 AM Tuesday morning: They are prepared to unveil Articles of Impeachment against President Donald Trump. After five publicly televised day-long impeachment investigation hearings, at least two and likely six committee chairmen will make the announcement about 12 hours from now.
“There will be some announcements tomorrow morning,” House Foreign Affairs Committee Chairman Eliot Engel (D-NY) shared with reporters after leaving a Monday evening meeting that Politico reports included Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
Exactly what the Articles of Impeachment will say, and even how many there will be has yet to be finalized.
Politico reports “Democrats are considering at least three charges against Trump — abuse of power, obstruction of Congress and obstruction of justice.”
But The Hill reports there will be just two, presumably abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.
Reportable tonight with @edokeefe — multiple Democrats familiar say House committee chairmen will unveil two articles of impeachment against President Trump tomorrow: abuse of power and obstruction of Congress.

Other experts vary on whether or not bribery – which is specified in the Constitution as an impeachable offense – will be included.
Bottom line: Articles of Impeachment will be drafted, will be voted on by the House, and will pass. President Donald Trump will become just the third president in U.S. history to be impeached.
Harvard Law professor and Constitutional expert Lawrence Tribe, who reportedly has been working with House Democrats, weighs in:
If you plan on sleeping in on Tuesday, don’t. Unless you don’t care what Articles of Impeachment are likely to be voted against Donald J. Trump, 45th President of the United States. https://t.co/S6WDIBHd2g
