At 11,337 words “Unfit for Office” is a massive, deep-dive, example-filled investigation into President Donald Trump’s “mental stability and connection with reality” – or lack thereof. That it’s written by noted conservative attorney George Conway, husband to White House senior counselor Kellyanne Conway, should give it even more credibility.
Conway begins by detailing a gruesome NFL tackle that left a player with a broken leg.
As Washington Redskins quarterback Alex Smith “was tackled, his right leg had buckled sharply above the ankle, with his foot rotating significantly away from any direction in which a human foot ought to point,” Conway writes in The Atlantic.
“Even without the benefit of medical training, and even without conducting a physical examination, viewers knew what had happened. They may not have known what the bones were called or what treatment would be required, but they knew more than enough, and they knew what really mattered: Smith had broken his leg, very badly. They knew that even if they were not orthopedists, did not have a medical degree, and had never cracked open a copy of Gray’s Anatomy. They could tell—they were certain—something was seriously wrong.”
That’s the analogy Conway applies to President Trump.
“You don’t need to be a weatherman to know which way the wind blows, and you don’t need to be a mental-health professional to see that something’s very seriously off with Trump—particularly after nearly three years of watching his erratic and abnormal behavior in the White House,” Conway, who has successfully argued before the Supreme Court, writes.
“Questions about Trump’s psychological stability have mounted throughout his presidency. But those questions have been coming even more frequently amid a recent escalation in Trump’s bizarre behavior, as the pressures of his upcoming reelection campaign, a possibly deteriorating economy, and now a full-blown impeachment inquiry have mounted. And the questioners have included those who have worked most closely with him.”
(While he does not state it, his spouse, Kellyanne Conway, has “worked most closely” with Trump.)
Conway details Trump’s emotional volatility, argues the possibilities Trump is suffering from “pathological narcissism,” “narcissistic personality disorder,” “sociopathy,” “malignant narcissism,” or “antisocial personality disorder,” and looks deeply into Trump’s inability to tell the truth.
And he concludes: “Simply put, Trump’s ingrained and extreme behavioral characteristics make it impossible for him to carry out the duties of the presidency in the way the Constitution requires.”

‘Donald Trump Is Not Well and You Know It!’: Morning Joe Scorches GOP for Standing by as President Falls Apart
In a very harsh assessment of President Donald Trump’s rapid descent into conspiracy theories and manic tweeting as the reality of impeachment grows daily, MSNBC host Joe Scarborough said Republicans need to admit that the president is “not well.”
“What every Republican on Capitol Hill knows” Scarborough began “[is] Donald Trump is not well, Donald Trump’s not emotionally fit to be president, Republicans, and you know it. He’s not mentally fit to be president of the United States right now and you know it.”
Scarborough went on to criticize the president for his decision to leave the Kurds in Syria at the mercy of Turkish forces, saying, “There are allies that sacrificed their lives, sacrificed their everything for us who are on the run this morning who are bleeding out, who are dying because Donald Trump decided on a whim to release them.”
“There are women and children once again in danger of being raped and brutalized and tortured by ISIS,” the MSNBC host charged. “Donald Trump suggests that we can just let ISIS go and they can go back and there are so many disturbing things, Mika, it is more obvious than ever Donald Trump is neither emotionally or mentally fit to be president of the United States.”
Full Contents of Whistleblower Memo Published by CBS News
CBS News has just published what it is describing as “the full contents of what appears to be a memo written by the whistleblower one day after President Trump spoke with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in July.”
It says the text is “based on a conversation the whistleblower had with an unnamed White House official who listened to the call.” That White House official described the call Trump had with the president of Ukraine as “crazy,” “frightening,” and “completely lacking in substance related to national security.”
The official after listening to the entire call was “visibly shaken.”
Below are a few excerpts.
- The President asserted that “it all started in Ukraine,” referring to the allegations of foreign interference in the 2016 U.S. presidential election and the subsequent investigation into the Trump campaign’s contact with Russian individuals
- The President urged Zelenskyy not to fire Ukrainian Prosecutor General Yuriy Lutsenko, who the President claimed was doing a good job. (Note: Lutsenko has spearheaded various politicized investigations, including on Burisma Holdings and alleged “Ukrainian interference” in the 2016 U.S. presidential election. Lutsenko is widely reviled in Ukraine, and Zelenskyy has pledged to fire him but has been unable to secure approval from the legislature.)
- The President stated that he wanted Attorney General William Barr to speak with Zelenskyy as soon as possible. (Note: It was not clear whether this conversation was to be in reference to Crowdstrike or the investigations of the Bidens.)

‘Did You Hear Me? Did You Hear Me? Don’t Be Rude’: In Embarrassing Meltdown Trump Berates White House Reporter
In an embarrassing and disturbing meltdown President Donald Trump attacked and berated Reuters’ White House correspondent Jeff Mason Wednesday afternoon. Mason was attempting to ask Trump what the president wanted to ask of the president of Ukraine in relation to Joe Biden and Hunter Biden in that now-infamous extortion phone call.
“Ask a question now,” Trump ordered Mason, who happens to also be a former president of the White House Correspondents’ Association.
“The question sir was what did you want President Zelensky to do about Vice President Biden and his son, Hunter,” Mason replied.
After pausing, Trump quizzically asked, “Are you talking to me?”
“Listen. Listen. Are you ready?” Trump berated. “We have the president of Finland. Ask him a question,” Trump barked. After getting some pushback, Trump grew angered.
“Did you hear me? Did you hear me? Ask him a question,” Trump, pointing to President Niinistö, said. “I’ve given you a long answer. Ask, this gentleman a question. Don’t be rude,” Trump declared.
“It’s a whole hoax,” Trump then announced, “And you know who’s playing into the hoax? People like you and the whole fake news media that we have in this country. And I say in many cases, the corrupt media. Because you’re corrupt.”
After repeatedly attacking Mason, Trump declared the media to be “corrupt,” and “fake.”
“Ask the president a question,” Trump blasted in possibly the worst meltdown of his presidency.
