CORRUPTION
Former Trump Lawyer Reveals Men Arrested on Campaign Finance Charges ‘Assisted’ Giuliani in His Work Representing Trump
The former lead lawyer for President Donald Trump, representing him during the Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russia and Trump, John Dowd, is now representing the two Ukrainian-born men arrested overnight attempting to leave the country. The two men were arrested in relation to a campaign finance investigation on charges that include conspiracy, falsifying records, and falsifying records to the FEC.
The men also worked with Giuliani to help him try to dig up dirt on Joe Biden and Hunter Biden.
Dowd in a statement says his clients, Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman, “assisted Mr. Giuliani in connection with his representation of President Trump.”
That’s huge, given the charges against them.
“Mr. Parnas and Mr. Furman,” Dowd continues, “have also been represented by Mr. Giuliani in connection with their personal and business affairs.”
“They also assisted Joseph DiGenova [sic] and Victoria Toensing in their law practice.”
Both diGenova and Toensing are Fox News regulars who defend Trump on-air. They were rumored to have been hired by the White House to assist Trump with his defense during the Mueller investigation but that appeared to have been thwarted by Trump himself.
Politico congressional reporter Kyle Cheney makes this important – and damning – observation:
If prosecutors are correct, this means two people who worked on legal matters for Trump were simultaneously running a straw donor scheme on behalf of foreign interests.

That, too, is huge.
Here’s Dowd’s statement, which was in the form of a letter sent to the House Intelligence Committee:
IMPORTANT: Fruman and Parnas’ lawyer (former Trump lawyer John Dowd) just laid out all of their connections to Trump world (in his famous Comic Sans letter).
It’s not just Giuliani but DiGenova, Toensing — and they even helped with Trump-related legal work. >>> pic.twitter.com/ITnTGvrhHu
