The US Attorney’s Office Giuliani once headed is now investigating him.
Federal authorities are conducting a criminal investigation into the relationship between Rudy Giuliani and his two Ukrainian-born henchmen arrested Wednesday night fleeing the country with one-way tickets to Vienna. Giuliani was scheduled to travel to Vienna also hours later, until the arrests.
ABC News reports the “business relationship between President Donald Trump’s private lawyer Rudy Giuliani and the men charged Thursday in a campaign finance scheme is a subject of the ongoing criminal investigation being conducted by federal authorities in New York.”
The federal law enforcement agencies involved include the FBI’s New York field office and prosecutors in the Southern District of New York (SDNY). Giuliani, before serving as New York City Mayor had been the U.S. Attorney in that same office from 1983 to 1989.
