Trump’s New Team of DOJ Lawyers Rejected by Federal Judge in Census Citizenship Question Case

A federal judge in charge of the 2020 Census citizenship question case has just rejected the DOJ’s new team of lawyers.

Last week the Dept. of Justice announced it was swapping out the group of attorneys who have been arguing on behalf of the Trump administration’s efforts to add what many see as a racist citizenship question to the 2020 Census.

Bloomberg News reports the federal judge has refused to allow the new team to enter the case. It’s unclear what the DOJ’s next steps are at this point.
