ABC News Just Got Hold of Trump’s Internal Polling Numbers. He Should Be Scared. Very Scared.

Over the past week multiple news reports have stated President Donald Trump ordered his team to deny reports of bad internal polling numbers. Trump himself not only denied hs own polls are showing him losing to top Democrats, but insisting his numbers are better than ever.

ABC News just reported it has gotten hold of Trump’s internal polling numbers for key battleground states, and they are bad. Very bad. Devastatingly bad.

“The polling data showed a double-digit lead for Biden in Pennsylvania 55-39 and Wisconsin 51-41 and had Biden leading by seven points in Florida. In Texas, a Republican stronghold, the numbers showed the president only leading by two points,” ABC News reports.

The polling data, obtained exclusively by ABC News, is Trump’s first internal re-election campaign poll numbers from a poll conducted in March.

The data are real, ABC News notes “the Trump campaign confirmed the data saying in a statement that the numbers were old and that they have seen huge swings in Trump’s favor.”

But overall polling does not show any large upward swing in favor of the President.

Real Clear Politics, a right-leaning site that is frequently looked to for its tracking of polling data, today shows Trump with a low 44.1% approval rating, and a 52.7% disapproval rating. In fact, since the beginning of March, Trump’s approval rating has fallen nearly 3 points.

And as of now, the most recent nationwide poll, Quinnipiac, shows Trump losing to Joe Biden by 13 points, and losing to Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris, Pete Buttigieg, and Cory Booker by 5 to 9 points.
