WATCH: Fox News Admits Mueller’s Remarks “Not, as the President Says, ‘No Collusion, No Obstruction'”

‘Almost Exactly the Opposite’ From Barr’s

Fox News anchor Bret Baier says Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s remarks Wednesday are very different from those of Attorney General Bill Barr’s – and President Donald Trump’s. He adds that the Special Counsel’s comments will have long-lasting effect.

“This was not, as the president says time and time again, ‘No collusion, no obstruction.’ It was much more nuanced than that,” a stunned Baier told Fox News viewers.

“It was not anywhere as clear-cut as Attorney General Bill Barr [said]. It was almost exactly the opposite. Not clear-cut,” Baier, surprised, added.

“The focus, the tone, the tenor of his statement was not really beyond the words of the report, but it did have a little more edge to it,” Baier said on air, adding, “it almost had the message: ‘Here you go, Congress, it’s in your court,’ which is what Justin Amash, Congressman, Republican, tweeted just after the statement.”

“It’s probably, after this, going to take us well into the election cycle,” he added.

On Twitter, Baier also said Mueller’s remarks today were “night and day” from what Barr had said in March.
