WATCH: Julian Assange Arrested – Dragged Out of Ecuadorean Embassy After Asylum Revoked

Julian Assange has been arrested by London police after Ecuador revoked his asylum. The Wikileaks founder, who had been living in the Ecuadorean Embassy since 2012, had threatened Ecuador, according to that nation’s President, Lenín Moreno.

Assange was evicted from the Ecuadorean embassy and law enforcement officers were invited in.

This video shows Assange being dragged out of the embassy:

“Mr Assange, 47, had refused to leave the embassy, claiming if he did he would be extradited to the United States for questioning over the activities of Wikileaks,” the BBC reports.

Britain’s Home Secretary made the announcement:

Here’s the President of Ecuador charging Assange with “discourteous and aggressive behavior,” and “hostile and threatening declarations” by Wikileaks:

The AP reports “Julian Assange’s attorney says he’s been arrested on US extradition request as well as for breaching UK bail conditions.”

Wikileaks reportedly was the conduit through which the Russian government leaked emails it had obtained via hacking the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta.

Russia aggressively worked to sow discord among American voters, pin groups against each other, instill distrust of the U.S. electoral system, and elect Donald Trump president.
