Julian Assange has been arrested by London police after Ecuador revoked his asylum. The Wikileaks founder, who had been living in the Ecuadorean Embassy since 2012, had threatened Ecuador, according to that nation’s President, Lenín Moreno.
Assange was evicted from the Ecuadorean embassy and law enforcement officers were invited in.

“Mr Assange, 47, had refused to leave the embassy, claiming if he did he would be extradited to the United States for questioning over the activities of Wikileaks,” the BBC reports.

The AP reports “Julian Assange’s attorney says he’s been arrested on US extradition request as well as for breaching UK bail conditions.”
Wikileaks reportedly was the conduit through which the Russian government leaked emails it had obtained via hacking the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta.
