Democrats Vote to Subpoena Mueller Report

Democrats on the House Judiciary Committee, as promised, Wednesday morning voted to subpoena the Mueller report from Attorney General William Barr.

The 24-17 vote along party lines authorizes Chairman Jerry Nadler to force Barr to release the complete, unredacted Mueller report to Congress, along with all underlying evidence generated by the Special Counsel’s office.

Democrats had given Barr until Tuesday to hand over the report. Barr ignored them.

“I will give him time to change his mind,” Chairman Nadler said, as The New York Times reports. “But if we cannot reach an accommodation, then we will have no choice but to issue subpoenas for these materials.”
