Warmbier Family Slams Trump for Taking North Korean Dictator Kim Jong-un’s Side in Murder of Their Son

The family of Otto Warmbier, murdered by the North Korean regime, issuing a statement rebuked President Donald Trump for taking Kim Jong-un at his word when the dictator claimed to have no knowledge of the killing.
MSNBC’s Stephanie Ruhle read the statement live on the air.
“‘We have been respectful during this summit process. Now we must speak out,’” she read. “‘Kim and his evil regime are responsible for the death of our son, Otto. Kim and his evil regime are responsible for unimaginable cruelty and inhumanity. No excuses or lavish praise can change that.’”
New Jersey Democrat Josh Gottheimer added his two cents.
“I think we all feel deeply for the parents. This is obviously a particularly emotional week,” Gottheimer said. “I believe deeply in diplomacy. We have to be aware of the kind of person we’re dealing with here, and President Trump is dealing with, and this is not somebody to be trusted on face value.”
