‘Are You Channeling Eric?’
Donald Trump Jr. applauded Tucker Carlson’s non-apology after audio recordings of his disgustingly sexist past comments were revealed, and other social media users pounded the president’s son.
Media Matters released recordings of Carlson’s remarks to the “Bubba the Love Sponge” radio show, where the Fox News host used vulgar language to mock women and defend statutory rape.
Carlson refused to apologize for “saying something naughty,” and demanded that his critics come onto his nightly Fox News program for a debate.
“Rather than express the usual ritual contrition, how about this,” Carlson said in a statement. “I’m on television every weeknight live for an hour. If you want to know what I think, you can watch. Anyone who disagrees with my views is welcome to come on and explain why.”
Trump Jr. was impressed by Carlson’s response.

“This is how to handle the outrage mob,” tweeted the president’s son. “Remember, even the most sincere apology means nothing to them. They want to break and ruin you. That’s their end goal.”
Many Twitter users, however, were not impressed.
