Trump Announces ‘There Should Be No Mueller Report’ – Day After House Votes 420-0 to Demand Its Public Release

President Furiously Attempts to Undermine Russia Probe

President Donald Trump has spent his Friday morning ‘executive time” tweeting, mostly about the Mueller investigation. Although he started the day with a weak tweet offering his “warmest sympathy and best wishes” to the victims of the horrific anti-Muslim terror attack in New Zealand, the President focused his eye – and ire – on politics.

“THIS SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN TO A PRESIDENT AGAIN!” Trump tweeted just after 10 AM, after several earlier tweets attacking the Mueller report.

But perhaps the most stunning remark President Trump offered was this: “there should be no Mueller Report.”

That comes almost exactly 24 hours after the U.S. House of Representatives in an incredibly rare unanimous act of bipartisanship, voted 420-0 to demand the Dept. of Justice publicly release the full Mueller report, with the exception of any classified information.

“This was an illegal & conflicted investigation in search of a crime,” Trump cried, attacking Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation. “Russian Collusion was nothing more than an excuse by the Democrats for losing an Election that they thought they were going to win,” he claimed, despite his own very public actions to the contrary.

It’s important to remember that the Mueller probe was initiated to investigate the Russian government’s attacks on our electoral system.

The President’s attacks on the Mueller report appear to be increasing in volume, intensity, and desperation. His mole inside the Justice Dept., now-former Acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker is gone, and rumors that Mueller is wrapping things up have been in the news repeatedly.
