New York Attorney General Opens Investigation into Major Trump Organization Projects

The New York Attorney General’s Office has opened an investigation into four major projects of the Trump Organization, the real estate and branding firm owned by President Donald Trump.

NY AG Letitia James issued subpoenas to two banks “for records relating to the financing of four major Trump Organization projects and a failed effort to buy the Buffalo Bills of the National Football League in 2014,” The New York Times reports.

The investigation, which is civil not criminal, was spurred by testimony given before Congress last month by former Trump attorney and “fixer” Michael Cohen.

Among the banks receiving subpoenas is Deutsche Bank, which has been among the very few willing to do business with Donald Trump.
