‘Giving It a Shot’
Former Vice President Joe Biden is definitely running for president, a senior Democratic lawmaker says, according to an exclusive report at The Hill.
“I’m giving it a shot,” Biden said, in what The Hill reports was a “matter-of-factly” remark “during a phone call with a House Democratic lawmaker within the past week.”
The Democrat was not named.
Biden spoke with a group of firefighters Tuesday morning who were very supportive.
“I appreciate the energy you all showed when I got up here,” Biden told them. “Save it a little longer, I may need it in a few weeks. Be careful what you wish for.”
Supporters will have to wait a bit longer. The report adds that Biden’s campaign launch “is expected in early April.”
