Trump Started the Shutdown 35 Days Ago and in the End, Speaker Pelosi Won
A defeated President Donald Trump Friday afternoon announced he will accept a temporary, three-week deal that will fund the government and end the shutdown he started 35 days ago.
The deal, reached with congressional lawmakers according to The Washington Post, will allow talks on Trump’s demand for $5.7 billion to partially fund his border wall to continue.
