Speaker Pelosi Invites President Trump to Deliver the State of the Union Again – and It Won’t Be Today

Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi has once again extended an invitation to President Donald Trump to deliver the State of the Union address, and it won’t be Tuesday, as originally planned.

The Speaker had invited the President to deliver the annual address on January 29, but rescinded her invitation when it became apparent he would not be ending the shutdown any time soon. She then insisted the SOTU be delivered only when he re-opened the federal government.

Speaker Pelosi has a new date: February 5, one week from tomorrow:
