‘Several Terabytes of Information’: Mueller Files Motion in Roger Stone Case to Extend Deadlines
Special Counsel Robert Mueller has just filed a motion in the Roger Stone case that appears to explain why the FBI took what some are wrongly claiming were drastic measures to arrest former Trump advisor Roger Stone.
Citing the Mueller filing, The Daily Beast’s Natasha Bertrand suggests that the raid on Stone’s house netted “multiple hard drives containing several terabytes of information.”
She says that includes bank records and communications “taken from iCloud/email accounts, electronic devices.”
JUST IN: According to Mueller and DC USA, discovery in the Roger Stone case is “both voluminous and complex,” and “is composed of multiple hard drives containing several terabytes of information”—including bank records & comms taken from iCloud/email accounts, electronic devices. pic.twitter.com/JkIJFoZHau

“FBI agents seized several years worth of Roger Stone’s communications following his arrest last week, prosecutors told a federal judge on Thursday,” The Daily Beast reports. “In a motion to ask for more time to bring Stone’s case to trial, the feds said one reason is because discovery is ‘both voluminous and complex,’ adding up to ‘several terabytes of information.’ It includes results of search warrants served on Stone’s Apple iCloud accounts and email accounts, as well as warrants served on his home, apartment, and office that seized Stone’s cellphones, computers, and hard drives.”
Former federal prosecutor Elizabeth de la Vega weighs in: “No way this is just a false statements case. No way.”
Thanks @lrozen. Folks, see below: Feds had terabytes of evidence from the Icloud relating to Roger Stone case and are still processing evidence from devices (plural) seized in search warrants. Communications span several years. No way this is just a false statements case. No way. https://t.co/R3TU4vW8tn
