Newly-sworn-in U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) is one of the first two Muslim women Members of Congress. And after a day of celebrating, voting, and more celebrating, she told supporters Thursday night that House Democrats are going to impeach President Donald Trump.
Except that’s not exactly what she said.
Congresswoman Tlaib at a MoveOn event shared a conversation she had with her son.
“And when your son looks at you and says, ‘Mama look, you won. Bullies don’t win,’ and I said, ‘Baby, they don’t,’ because we’re gonna go in there and we’re going to impeach the motherf****r.”
