He promised America “only I can fix it.” He promised America he was the ultimate deal-maker. He promised America he would “build the wall and Mexico will pay for it.”
Today, as he enters the first few days of his third year in office, amid the longest shutdown of the federal government that he initiated, President Donald Trump has fixed almost nothing, has sealed no major deals, has not built his wall, and everyone knows there is absolutely zero chance Mexico will ever pay for it.
Wednesday morning, after news broke that his poll numbers have hit a new all-time low, President Donald Trump created a new slogan and is literally urging his supporters to “pray” for the wall.
“BUILD A WALL & CRIME WILL FALL!” Trump tweeted. “This is the new theme, for two years until the Wall is finished (under construction now), of the Republican Party. Use it and pray!”
Handing your followers slogans and ordering them to repeat them and pray certainly sounds like something a cult leader would do.
