US Attorney: National Enquirer Owner Admits to Paying Hush Money to Playboy Actress to Influence Election for Trump

Payment Was Made “To Influence” the Election

The U.S. Attorney’s Office has just revealed a payment made to Playboy model and actress Karen McDougal was made to influence the presidential election. American Media, the parent company of the National Enquirer, has admitted it made the $150,000 payment to help Donald Trump, in agreement with the Trump campaign, to influence the election, according to an on-air report by MSNBC, and a report from CNBC.

David Pecker, the owner of American Media, is a good friend of Donald Trump.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office of the Southern District of New York states it has entered into a non-prosecution cooperation agreement with American Media.

Of note is the U.S. Attorney’s Office made this statement an hour after Michael Cohen was sentenced in part on campaign law violations and bank fraud charges related to the payment to Stormy Daniels.
