Trump’s Top 5 Most Hilarious Screw-Ups in 2018 (So Far)

In many cases, it does better to laugh at President Donald Trump to keep from crying about what he’s done to our country.

But if there’s one thing the president hates more than anything it’s when he’s laughed at or made a fool of. Still, the leader of the free world managed to be the butt of the joke without anyone on the left lifting a finger.

To add some humor to your holidays, these are the most hilarious screw-ups from Trump in 2018:

1. That time Trump didn’t know whether Ireland is in the United Kingdom.

During a Pennsylvania rally before the election, the president struggled with his countries.

“I have great respect for the U.K. ― United Kingdom ― great respect,” Trump said. “People call it Britain. They call it Great Britain. They used to call it England ― different parts.”

To make matters worse, he already had a geography lesson from Piers Morgan a few weeks before.

“We would make a great deal with the United Kingdom because they have product that we like. I mean they have a lot of great product. They make phenomenal things, you know, and you have different names — you can say ‘England,’ you can say ‘UK,’ you can say ‘United Kingdom’ so many different — you know you have, you have so many different names — Great Britain. I always say: ‘Which one do you prefer? Great Britain? You understand what I’m saying?’” Trump told Morgan in an interview.

Morgan told him they weren’t the same places.

But Morgan’s interview wasn’t
the first time either. Trump seemed confused when he spoke to British Prime Minister Theresa May. He thought the UK and Britain could be used interchangeably to mean the same place.

2. Trump cuddled up to North Korea’s Kim Jong-Un, only to be shown as a complete and total fool.

Everyone from policy experts to ambassadors and former leaders mocked Trump for his decision to meet in person with Kim Jong-Un and discuss a denuclearization treaty. For a few brief moments it looked as if something might actually happen, but when Trump left the summit and delegated finalizing the deal to others, everything fell apart.

As Trump continued to take victory laps for fixing the North Korea problem, secret missile sights were discovered. Trump swore this was “nothing new” and everything was fine.

Just days later, the New York Times reported the North’s official Korean Central News Agency said, “Kim visited the testing ground of the Academy of Defense Science, the center of weapons development in North Korea, and ‘supervised a newly developed ultramodern tactical weapon test.’”

Earlier in the year, Trump told Kim that his button was bigger.

3. Remember when Trump called Haiti and all of Africa a “sh*thole?”

Trump kicked off 2018 by attacking an entire continent and group of people. In an Oval Office rant about people coming into the United States, Trump sounded off in front of Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), Dick Durbin (D-IL).

The moment sparked a firestorm across the internet and cable news as horrified Americans were forced to apologize for their president again.

4. Trump thinks he won in the 2018 elections.

Trump spent much of the 2018 election season telling his supporters that they must vote as if Trump’s name is on the ballot because the future of his agenda was. Trump then proceeded to lose the most historic number of Congressional seats for Republicans since the Watergate scandal.

“I wasn’t on the ballot,” Trump told Fox News host Chris Wallace.

Trump then spent the week following the election swearing he actually won the 2018 election.

“I thought it was a very close to complete victory,” Trump bragged in a press conference before attacking Republicans who refused to embrace him.

The denial wasn’t exactly unexpected. This is the same man who told his supporters this year, “What you’re seeing and what you’re reading is not what’s happening.”

5. The Saudi/Russia high five moment.

One of the most humiliating moments for Trump, and indeed the United States as a country, came as the president was attending the G-20 meeting just after the November election. Trump’s trip was an embarrassment as he screwed up a photo-op, looked like a doddering old fool during the group photo and screwed up his so-called China deal.

But the worst moment came when Saudi Prince Mohammad Bin Salman Al Saud and Russian President Vladimir Putin exchanged an enthusiastic handshake like they knew they bested the United States.

While the year is coming to a close, there’s still time for the president to humiliate himself. The government shutdown is proving to be tough for Trump as he has essentially told Democrats he’s essentially willing to have a beaded curtain as a border wall.
