Trump Once Again Attacks Mueller Investigation, Calls Cohen a ‘Rat’

After attacking Saturday Night Life once again, President Trump took to Twitter to criticize both the Federal Bureau of Investigation as well as his former lawyer, Michael Cohen. Cohen was sentenced last week for his part in providing “hush money” payments on behalf of the President.

In the diatribe, President Trump referred to Cohen — who he said in June was “a good person” — as a “rat” due to FBI involvement. He also reiterated his claims that the Mueller investigation is a “witch hunt” and tried to claim that the FBI raid on Cohen’s office — which was done under warrant — was a break in.

The President also Tweeted about “missing” text messages between Lisa Page and Peter Strzok, the latter the President simply referred to as “Peter S.” Those messages in question were erased but have long since been recovered. It was a technology issue, not malicious intent, that had caused the texts to be erased in the first place.

The pair has been used as a scape by many on the right as a way to paint the Mueller investigation as corrupt and biased against the President.

Far from a “witch hunt,” the Mueller investigation has led to eight people so far being found guilty.
