One Day After Trump Praised Him for Having ‘Guts’ Roger Stone Invokes Fifth Amendment

Former Trump campaign advisor and veteran political dirty trickster Roger Stone has just invoked his Fifth Amendment right against self incrimination. The move comes just one day after President Trump praised Stone for having “guts!” and refusing to testify against the president or flip.

Stone is now refusing to provide documents or testify before the Senate.

Stone has officially “declined to share documents and testimony with members of the Senate Judiciary Committee, according to a letter posted Tuesday by the committee’s top Democrat, Sen. Dianne Feinstein,” NBC News has just reported.

“On the advice of counsel, Mr. Stone will not produce the documents requested,” the letter, from Stone’s attorney, reads.

It calls Ranking Member Feinstein’s request “far too overbroad, far too overreaching, far too wide ranging.”

Some legal experts are stating on social media that documents don’t generally fall under Fifth Amendment protections.
