Fox & Friends: Trump Hush Money Not Campaign Contributions – Paying Off Women Part of Billionaire Lifestyle

“Fox & Friends” co-hosts Friday morning debated whether the hush money payments made to porn star Stormy Daniels and Playboy Playmate Karen McDougal should be considered campaign contributions.
Federal prosecutors and the federal judge who sentenced Michael Cohen have already determined that they were, but Fox News is doing its best to muddy the waters and sow doubt in the minds of its viewers.
Co-host Steve Doocey shared the story of former Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards, who had an affair while his wife was dying of cancer. Payments made to the woman, Doocey noted, were not considered campaign contributions by a jury.
Doocey neglected to tell viewers that those payments were made in part to help support her during her pregnancy (Edwards fathered her child), and were made before the primaries. Edwards also dropped out of the race early in the primaries, having performed poorly.
As Michael Cohen told ABC News in an interview Friday morning, Trump wanted the payments made to keep the women he allegedly slept with from talking. The payments were made a few weeks before the 2016 presidential election.
Meanwhile, staunch Trump warrior Brian Kilmeade told viewers that anyone who reads the New York Post’s “Page Six,” a gossip column in the tabloid popular in New York City, would know that Donald Trump “lived the life of a high-profile billionaire.”
Kilmeade suggested that the average billionaire’s lifestyle includes paying off women all the time.
“So no, you wouldn’t think that one vote would be changed if people knew, or didn’t know that the president was having some type of relationship with these two women,” Kilmeade insisted.
