Michael Cohen to Plead Guilty to New Charge of Lying to Congress in Mueller Plea Deal: Report

President Donald Trump’s former personal attorney Michael Cohen is expected to plead guilty to lying to congressional committees. He has been co-operating with the Mueller probe, and spent more than 70 hours with the Special Counsel’s team, ABC News reports.

ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos reports Cohen has provided “dozens of hours of testimony potentially damaging” to President Trump.

Trump has been increasingly angry about the probe again, tweeting about it as a “Hoax” and an “illegal Joseph McCarthy style Witch Hunt, one that has shattered so many innocent lives.”

UPDATE: 9:24 AM ET –
ABC News posts this new segment, saying Cohen now “poses a double-barrelled threat to the president,” and has information to offer about “the heart” of the Mueller probe.
