‘MAKE FRANCE GREAT AGAIN!’: Trump Goes Ballistic, Attacks Macron, Mocks France

Fresh from his trip to Paris where he offended much of Europe for not attending an important event because it was raining, President Donald Trump is going ballistic, attacking Emmanuel Macron.

The French President has called for a “true European army,” rather than relying on the increasingly unreliable United States to protect Europe.

Trump Tuesday morning mocked France and suggested Germany would have annexed the country were it not for the U.S.

“Emmanuel Macron suggests building its own army to protect Europe against the U.S., China and Russia. But it was Germany in World Wars One & Two – How did that work out for France? They were starting to learn German in Paris before the U.S. came along. Pay for NATO or not!”

The American president then claimed Macron was trying to divert attention from his approval numbers, which Trump says are “very low.”

Trump also appeared defensive about recent outrage after he proudly declared himself a “nationalist,” which many believe is an attempt to throw support to white nationalists.

Macron had attacked Trump over the weekend during a speech marking the 100th anniversary of the end of World War I. In it, the French president denounced nationalism as a “betrayal of patriotism,” which many saw as a direct rebuke of Trump and Trumpism.

“By the way, there is no country more Nationalist than France, very proud people-and rightfully so!” Trump continued, concluding with a twist on his campaign slogan:
