‘If You Buy a Box of Cereal — You Have a Voter ID’: Trump Rages Over Elections as Democratic Blue Wave Grows

“Sometimes they go to their car, put on a different hat, put on a different shirt, come in and vote again,” Trump said, falsely.

A furious President Donald Trump is blasting Broward County Elections Supervisor Brenda Snipes as Florida has ordered automatic recounts for three races, including governor and U.S. Senator. Republicans are ahead in both races, but by extremely thin margins and machine errors and other problems have thrown the state’s results into chaos.

Trump, who last week called for a halt to the counting of ballots and wanted to have absentee and provisional ballots – which include those of U.S. Military members – tossed out, is re-upping his demand for voter ID laws.

He is also claiming rampant fraud and illegal voting.

“The Republicans don’t win and that’s because of potentially illegal votes,” Trump told the user right wing website The Daily Caller in an exclusive interview Wednesday.

The President is insisting, despite offering zero evidence and despite many studies, that there is rampant voter fraud, including people dressing up in disguises to vote more than once.

“When people get in line that have absolutely no right to vote and they go around in circles. Sometimes they go to their car, put on a different hat, put on a different shirt, come in and vote again. Nobody takes anything. It’s really a disgrace what’s going on.”

There is no evidence that happens.

“If you buy a box of cereal — you have a voter ID,” Trump claimed.

It’s unclear what the President meant by that. If he is suggesting credit cards or store loyalty cards are accepted as voter identification, that is false.

“They try to shame everybody by calling them racist, or calling them something, anything they can think of, when you say you want voter ID. But voter ID is a very important thing.”

Studies show rates of voter fraud are “between 0.0003 percent and 0.0025 percent,” according to the Brennan Center.

“Given this tiny incident rate for voter impersonation fraud, it is more likely, the report noted, that an American ‘will be struck by lightning than that he will impersonate another voter at the polls.'”

The President also appeared to claim he won Broward County in the 2016 election.

“I won by a lot of votes. I call it four Yankee stadiums.”

Trump actually lost Broward County. Hillary Clinton won Broward with 66.5% of the vote. Trump won just 31.3%.

President Trump won the entire state of Florida by just 112,911 votes over Hillary Clinton.

And Yankee stadium has a top capacity of 47,309.
