‘Bedlam, Chaos, Injury and Death’: Trump Sends Fear-Mongering, False, Blood for Oil Thanksgiving Day Message

President Donald Trump kicked off Thanksgiving Day with a mad series of early-morning rapid-fire angry tweets that covered his latest battles, including defending his decision to ignore Saudi Arabia’s assassination of a Washington Post journalist, and continuing his ill-informed war with the Supreme Court’s Chief Justice and the 9th Circuit.

His first tweet of the day was literally the definition of “blood for oil.” During the Bush 43 era, anti-Iraq war protestors would shout, “No blood for oil,” meaning they were opposed to exchanging the lives of American troops just so the U.S. could protect its access to foreign oil.

President Trump revealed, on Thanksgiving morning no less, he is comfortable with exchanging a life to protect U.S. access to oil:

Three minutes later, apparently realizing he once again forgot his role, offered his Thanksgiving message. No motivating story, no tip-of-the-hat to our forefathers and foremothers. Nothing reminding America of lessons from past presidents or other American leaders. And no actual giving of thanks.

Twenty minutes later, a lie-filled attack on the Supreme Court Chief Justice. Aside from, “Justice Roberts can say what he wants,” literally every other word in these two tweets is a lie.

Trump’s “bedlam, chaos, injury and death” fear-mongering hate will go down in history.
