Watch: Massive Protest Against Trump in Pittsburgh as Politicians Refuse to Be Seen With President

‘President Trump You Are Not Welcome in Pittsburgh’

The mayor of Pittsburgh and others affected by Saturday’s massacre of 11 people observing the Sabbath in The Tree of Life synagogue asked President Donald Trump to not come visit them today, but the President refused to listen. And now he is paying the price.

No local, state, or national politicians greeted Air Force One Tuesday afternoon. No politicians will join the president as he makes his way into town to “pay his respects,” as the White House said.

Community leaders stressed that today they are holding funerals for the mass shooting victims, who were gunned down in an anti-Semitic hate crime terror attack. Law enforcement is stretched to the limit already. Having to protect the President on top of protecting funeral-goers and protestors would require too many police officers.

But the President wanted a photo op, one week before the midterms.

“Trump, accompanied by the First Lady and prominent Jewish members of his administration — including daughter Ivanka, son-in-law Jared Kushner and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin — arrived in the stricken city just before 4 p.m. ET,” CNN reports. “He was expected to visit with wounded law enforcement officers and pay respects to the dead amid ongoing funeral observances for the mostly elderly victims. He was due back in Washington in a matter of hours.”

Saturday’s mass shooting, the deadliest attack on Jewish people in the history of the United States, was carried out by a man reportedly screaming “All Jews must die!”

Right now a very respectful and well-organized protest against President Trump is taking place, as CBS affiliate WRGB is showing live on Facebook.
