THIS IS WHAT FASCISM LOOKS LIKE
‘Unknown Middle Easterners’: Trump’s Latest Fear-Mongering Tweet Exposes His Cowardice
President Donald Trump has just posted a tweet claiming with zero evidence that there are “unknown Middle Easterners” among the migrants from Honduras and other Central American countries making their way toward the U.S. border.
It’s unclear what “unknown Middle Easterners” means, or why they would pose a threat. All of the migrants are unknown, as they have not yet reached the U.S. border to request asylum. And there is no basis on fact for his “unknown Middle Easterners” claim.
President Donald Trump’s fear-mongering tweet just two weeks before the midterms is another example of his fascistic use of racism and ignorance to drum up his base to get them to the polls.
What Trump is actually saying is the strongest nation on earth is afraid of a few thousand poverty-stricken migrants literally running for their lives.
Here’s his tweet, typo and all:
UPDATE:
Daniel Dale of The Toronto Star proves Trump is lying:
Follow the bouncing ball: 1) Guatemala’s president said at a conference that they had arrested, over some period, 100 people linked to terror. Completely unrelated to the caravan. 2) Right-wing sites used that to raise caravan fears. 3) Fox joined in. 4) The president joined in. pic.twitter.com/6dxKq2HEK8
