U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley has resigned, according to a just-published scoop by Axios.
“Haley discussed her resignation with Trump last week when she visited him at the White House, these sources said. Her news shocked a number of senior foreign policy officials in the Trump administration,” Axios’ Jonathan Swan reports.
While Axios does not state her reasons for leaving, there have been rumors Haley wants to run against Trump for the 2020 Republican presidential nomination.
