‘She Is Not Ever Coming Back’: Megyn Kelly Is Gone From NBC – Days After ‘Blackface’ Remarks: Report
Megyn Kelly reportedly will not return to NBC News, just days after her offensive and racist comments defending Blackface.
“Megyn Kelly is OUT at NBC just 48 hours after defending blackface as she and the network fight over whether she will be paid out her $69M contract in full,” The Daily Mail reports in an exclusive.
“Sources confirm to DailyMail.com that Kelly will not return to NBC airwaves.”
“Megyn Kelly is done. She is not ever coming back,” an NBC executive told The Daily Mail.
The New York Post also confirms Kelly is gone, but reports more specifically that she has been fired.
“It took just 48 hours for NBC to ax Kelly, who has a history of making inflammatory comments, a source told Page Six,” The Post notes.
Kelly apologized live on-air Wednesday, but Thursday the show aired a repeat, and is slated to do so Friday as well.
After her Fox News contract expired Kelly went to NBC News and is reportedly paid approximately $20 million a year. She has at least one more year left on her contract, and has hired an attorney after changing agents overnight.
She has a contract worth $69 million. It’s unclear if NBC will pay it out.
These were not Kelly’s first racist remarks. At Fox News she insisted both Santa and Jesus were white.
