Ex-Congressional Spokesperson Reveals Suspected Bomber Sent Her Threats — and Twitter Did Nothing

A former congressional press secretary revealed Friday that Cesar Sayoc Jr., the man apprehended under suspicion of sending bombs to prominent Democrats, also threatened her on Twitter — and the company did nothing about it.

“Hey @Twitter remember when I reported the guy who was making threats towards me after my appearance on @FoxNews and you guys sent back a bs response about how you didn’t find it that serious,” former reporter and congressional spokesperson Rochelle Ritchie tweeted Friday. “Well guess what it’s the guy who has been sendin #bombs to high profile politicians!!!!”

Ritchie included screenshots of both the threat Sayoc, using the name “Cesar Aliteri,” sent her and Twitter’s response to her report of the tweet.

“So you like to make threats,” Sayoc wrote in response to Ritchie on October 11. “We Unconquered Seminole Tribe will answer your threats.”

“We have nice silent Air boat ride for u here on our land Everglades Swamp [sic],” the threatening tweet continued. “We will see you 4 sure. Hug your loved ones real close every time you leave you home [sic.]”
