Trump: Our Response to Puerto Rico Hurricanes That Left 2975 Dead Was ‘One of the Best Jobs Ever’

In the face of a massive hurricane about to hit the Eastern Seaboard President Donald Trump is bragging about the results of his administration’s handling of the hurricanes that left 2975 people dead in Puerto Rico last year. The president is calling it, “one of the best jobs that’s ever been done.”

“I think Puerto Rico was incredibly successful,” President Trump told reporters from the Oval Office Tuesday afternoon. “Puerto Rico was actually our toughest one of all because it’s an island, so you can’t truck things onto it, everything’s by boat.”

“We moved a hospital into Puerto Rico, a tremendous military hospital in the form of a ship,” Trump continued. “If you ask the governor, he’ll tell you what a great job.”

“I actually think,” Trump continued, “if you ask the governor, he’ll tell you what a great job” FEMA did.

“I think probably the hardest one we had by far was Puerto Rico because of the island nature, and I actually think it was one of the best jobs that’s ever been done with respect to what this is all about.”

Trump made his remarks on the 17th anniversary of the Sept. 11 terror attacks that left 2,977 victims dead – just two more than those killed in Puerto Rico.
