Trump Denies ‘Totally Political’ Allegations Against Kavanaugh as ‘One of the Most Unfair, Unjust Things’

President Donald Trump took time away from his visit to the United Nations Monday morning to reiterate his support for the flailing candidacy of his Supreme Court nominee, Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

Despite now three allegations of sexual assault and/or attempted rape, including the latest: allegations of participating in “the targeting of women with alcohol/drugs in order to allow…gang rape,” the United States president insisted his nominee is an “outstanding person” and “a fine man with an unblemished past,” who should sit on the nation’s top court.

“I am with him all the way,” President Trump told reporters, as Talking Points Memo reports.

“There’s a chance that this could be one of the single most unfair, unjust things to happen to a candidate for anything but I am with Judge Kavanaugh and I look forward to a vote,” Trump said. “For people to come out of the woodwork from 36 years ago and 30 years ago and never mention it, all of a sudden it happens, in my opinion, it’s totally political.”
