Multiple People Reportedly Killed in ‘Active Shooting’ Described as ‘Horrific’ by Maryland Governor
There are multiple victims in a business area of Aberdeen, Maryland, and the Governor is calling the shooting “horrific.”
Few details are known at this point but Governor Larry Hogan has already said his “prayers are with all those impacted, including our first responders.”
NBC News reports the sheriff has called the situation “fluid,” and asked people to avoid the area.
WBAL has streaming video on its website, and says the FBI is calling it an “active shooter situation.”
Dozens of police officers reportedly are swarming the area.
UPDATE I: 11:13 AM ET –
Several news outlets report now there are “multiple people killed.”
UPDATE II: 12: 32 PM ET –
Multiple reports state 3 people were shot dead and the suspect, a woman, was wounded but is in custody.
