Former longtime Donald Trump attorney Michael Cohen has been speaking with special counsel Robert Mueller’s team “for hours,” according to an exclusive report from ABC News.
Cohen has sat through “multiple interview sessions,” ABC adds.
The discussions “focused primarily on all aspects of Trump’s dealings with Russia — including financial and business dealings and the investigation into alleged collusion with Russia by the Trump campaign and its surrogates to influence the outcome of the 2016 presidential election,” ABC reveals.
Mueller’s team of investigators also talked with Cohen about whether or not Trump or his associates ever discussed the possibility of a pardon with the President’s former lawyer.
But Cohen’s cooperation – which is voluntary and not in exchange for leniency – has extended to discussions surrounding the Trump family charity and the Trump family business. Cohen served as a vice president of the Trump Organization for a decade.
