Kavanaugh Doubles Down on Denial – But Makes Secret Visit to White House

Supreme Court nominee and accused attempted rapist Brett Kavanaugh has just issued a second statement denying he sexually assaulted and attempted to rape a then-15 year old girl when both were in high school. But one ominous sign for the 53-year old ultra-conservative judge’s nomination is he has just made a secret, unannounced visit to the White House.

“I have never done anything like what the accuser describes — to her or to anyone,” Judge Kavanaugh said in a statement late Monday morning, as The Washington Post reports. “Because this never happened, I had no idea who was making this accusation until she identified herself yesterday.”

But that suggests that Kavanaugh is admitting to knowing his accuser, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford.

“I am willing to talk to the Senate Judiciary Committee in any way the Committee deems appropriate to refute this false allegation, from 36 years ago, and defend my integrity,” Kavanaugh adds. It does not appear the Senate Judiciary Committee is willing to allow that to happen.

Both Dr. Ford and Judge Kavanaugh have now said they would testify before the Senate.
