‘I Feel So Badly’: Trump Expresses Empathy – for Kavanaugh (Video)

President Donald Trump is not backing down from supporting his Supreme Court nominee. Judge Brett Kavanaugh is under fire for allegedly sexually assaulting and attempting to rape a 15-year old when he was 17.

“I feel so badly for him that he’s going through this,” Trump told reporters at a joint press conference with the President of the Republic of Poland Tuesday afternoon. “So badly for him. This is not a man that deserves this.”

The president did not express any empathy or emotion for the alleged victim, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford, a California professor.

Trump was also asked why he is refusing to allow the Federal Bureau of Investigation to re-open its investigation into Judge Kavanaugh.

“The FBI said that they really don’t do that, that’s not what they do” Trump told reporters, which is false. “Now they have done, supposedly, six background checks over the years as Judge Kavanaugh has gone beautifully up the ladder,” the president said, using his hand to illustrate his point.

The President seemed to be saying the FBI investigates Supreme Court nominees but not when they are credibly accused of sexual assault and attempted rape.

Trump also said Kavanaugh has an “impeccable history, in every way.” He then repeated himself. “In every way.”

Kavanaugh not only has been accused of sexual assault and attempted rape, but appears to have been portrayed by his good friend and former prep school classmate Mark Judge as a college drunk.
