In a clear attempt to support the firing of Omarosa Manigault-Newman while trying to discredit the former White House aide, President Donald Trump issued a statement that effectively is an admission of wrongly using taxpayer funds to hire her – and says he didn’t fire her “because she only said GREAT things about me.”
Trump effectively says he knew she was not competent when he hired her, calling the former Director of Communications for the Office of Public Liaison “wacky,” “vicious,” and “not smart.”
But the president also admits to hiring her out of pity, saying she “begged” him for a job.
“Wacky Omarosa, who got fired 3 times on the Apprentice, now got fired for the last time. She never made it, never will. She begged me for a job, tears in her eyes, I said Ok,” Trump tweeted Monday morning.

In audio of Trump released Monday morning, the President tells Omarosa, “Goddamnit,” when she says Kelly was trying to fire her. “Nobody even told me about it,” Trump claims.
Omarosa, whose reputation was terrible while in the White House, is promoting her new book, and has released audio tapes of her firing by White House Chief of Staff John Kelly. The former General chose to use the top secret Situation Room, which Omarosa “bugged” by recording the conversation, leading many to question the security of the White House once again. It’s well-documented that President Trump’s cell phone is not secure.
“People in the White House hated her,” Trump continued Monday morning. “She was vicious, but not smart. I would rarely see her but heard really bad things.” he added. He then admitted to not firing her because she flattered him:
