‘I Cancelled It!’: Once Again Trump Tries to Save Face – by Lying About His $92 Million Military Parade

The cost of President Trump’s military parade skyrocketed Thursday, with estimates from the Pentagon coming in at $92 million, not the $12 million originally projected. After the news broke that the cost would be nearly eight times higher than originally claimed, Pentagon officials announced they had postponed the event.

Not according to the commander-in-Chief.

President Trump Friday morning blamed the cost on the “local politicians who run Washington, D.C.,” which is ludicrous.

Trump claims he cancelled the parade, rather than given the District of Colombia money.

That, by all accounts, is just plain false.

Trump then said perhaps he’ll have the parade next year, “when the cost comes WAY DOWN.”

Why would the cost come way down? There is no legitimate reason to think that.

Many scoffed at the idea of a wasteful parade, saying any discretionary monies spent should go to homeless veterans and to the VA.

Not Trump, who tweeted, “Now we can buy some more jet fighters!”
