The New York Times Thursday night has broken a bombshell story, reporting that The Trump Organization is under criminal investigation by the Manhattan District Attorney. The DA’s office is currently considering charges against the real estate company owned by the President of the United States.
Cy Vance Jr., the Manhattan District Attorney, “is considering pursuing criminal charges against the Trump Organization and two senior company officials in connection with Michael D. Cohen’s hush money payment to an adult film actress,” the Times reports.
One official tells the Times that “listing the reimbursement as a legal expense could be a felony under state law,” because he did not legal work for them.
“On its face, it certainly would be problematic,” that official said.
