Experts Say Trump Laying Groundwork to De-Legitimize the Election Should Democrats Win Big
President Donald Trump has gone full gaslighting. Late Tuesday morning he posted a tweet expressing his great concern that Russia will be interfering in the 2018 election, and will be “pushing very hard for the Democrats.”
Remember, Trump has repeatedly denied that Russia interfered in the 2016 election, and last week even said there are many people in the world, suggesting the attack on America’s democracy could have been executed by anyone.
“I’m very concerned that Russia will be fighting very hard to have an impact on the upcoming Election,” Trump said. “Based on the fact that no President has been tougher on Russia than me, they will be pushing very hard for the Democrats. They definitely don’t want Trump!”
His claims are false.
Trump has not been harder on Russia than any other president.
Russia is very happy to have Trump as president. many intelligence experts believe Russia has “kompromat” – compromising material – on Trump, which would explain his devotion to Vladimir Putin.
Asked one week ago if he wanted doDonald Trump to win the election, Vladimir Putin said: “Yes, I did. Yes, I did.”
Also last week, Trump said, “no,” when asked if Russia were still targeting the U.S. electoral system.
