Trump Just Held a National Security Council Meeting on Election Security. It Lasted 30 Minutes.

President Donald Trump has been repeatedly accused of not just ignoring and refusing to accept the findings of his Intelligence agencies that Russia interfered in the U.S. election of 2016, but refusing to do anything to stop another attack.

Many Americans think Russia stopped its cyberwar against America after Trump won in 2016. In reality, the attack on America began at the latest in 2014, and has continued to this day.

On President Trump’s daily schedule for Friday is a meeting with the National Security Council, slated to begin at 3 PM ET. The meeting lasted less than 30 minutes, according to CNN Senior White House Correspondent Jeff Zeleny:

For reasons unknown the meeting was not open to the press, not even for a quick press pool spray.

Politico’s cybersecurity reporter Eric Geller noticed that Trump had tweeted during the meeting. The attached tweet was posted at 3:23 PM ET.

Just yesterday Senator Claire McCaskill confirmed a report by The Daily Beast that Russia hackers had targeted her office. And reports this week show Russia has attacked the U.S. power grid, again.

The attacks from Russia are growing bolder.

Early Friday afternoon NBC News published a report noting the impending NSC meeting on election security Trump was to chair Friday afternoon.

“Nineteen months into his presidency, there is no coherent Trump administration strategy to combat foreign election interference — and no single person or agency in charge, current and former officials tell NBC News,” NBC reports.

Then next event on President Trump’s schedule today is his trip to his Bedminster, New Jersey golf club, where he is expected to spend the weekend.
