Trump Is Announcing SCOTUS Pick at 9PM for Ratings – but Not the Ones Most Think

White House Officials ‘Annoyed’

A top media reporter says President Trump’s announcement of his Supreme Court nominee pick tonight at 9 PM is all about ratings, but not the ones many may think.

Trump recently hired former Fox News co-president Bill Shine, who was ousted for covering up sexual harassment at the right wing news network, to be his Deputy Chief of Staff for Communications.

Gabriel Sherman, a New York magazine reporter who literally wrote the book on Fox News and its former chairman Roger Ailes, took to Twitter Monday afternoon to explain why the 9 PM decision was made – and that White House staffers are not happy about it.

“Trump is announcing SCOTUS pick at 9pm because staffers think Bill Shine chose 9pm hour to help Sean Hannity’s ratings,” Sherman reports.

So the former Fox News president who for years was Sean Hannity’s producer is now “programming” White House announcements to help Fox News and Sean Hannity.

Hannity is a top Trump confidant and advisor. He played golf with the president Sunday.

Sherman, by the way, not only wrote the book on Fox News, he broke the news when Shine left Fox. He also broke the news when Bill O’Reilly was ousted from the conservative cable giant.

According to Sherman, “Hannity has been telling Trump to pick Barrett,” as in religious extremist Amy Coney Barrett.
