Trump Explodes: Now Waging War Against Michael Cohen

Calls Mueller Investigation ‘Stupid and Unfair to Our Country’

President Donald Trump kicked off his summer Friday with a barrage of insane tweets attacking his usual targets: Robert Mueller, the news media, Hillary Clinton, Bill Clinton, and the Democrats. And one new target: his personal lawyer of 10 years, Michael Cohen.

“I did NOT know of the meeting with my son, Don jr.,” Trump claimed, responding to the news Thursday night that Cohen is ready to flip and tell Mueller Trump knew about the infamous Trump Tower meeting with a Russian lawyer working for the Kremlin.

“Sounds to me like someone is trying to make up stories in order to get himself out of an unrelated jam (Taxi cabs maybe?),” he said, specifically referring to Cohen, who has a taxi cab business.

“He even retained Bill and Crooked Hillary’s lawyer. Gee, I wonder if they helped him make the choice!” Trump said, referring to Cohen’s new attorney, Lanny Davis. Minutes earlier Trump had tweeted, “the only Collusion with Russia was with the Democrats.”

As he regularly does, the American president suggested he is the United States, as he lashed out  in another tweet at the Special Counsel and the investigation into Russia’s attack on the U.S. elections.

Calling the Special Counsel’s team “the highly conflicted Robert Mueller and his gang of 13 Angry Democrats,” which is false, Trump proceeded to insist there was overnight news that Mueller “obviously cannot find Collusion,” which is again false.

Trump continued tweeting, saying, “the only Collusion with Russia was with the Democrats,” which, again, is false. He added: “so now they are looking at my Tweets (along with 53 million other people) – the rigged Witch Hunt continues!”

“How stupid and unfair to our Country,” the president claimed, implying, “how stupid and unfair to me.”

Trump’s attack on the Mueller probe comes after he has, over the past two weeks, stood next to Vladimir Putin and insisted Russia did not attack the U.S. election, only to later be forced to claim they did.

Later, in a press pool spray, he said he did not believe that Russia was still interfering in the U.S. elections, only to walk that back by saying the word “no” meant “no more questions,” which is also false, based on his past behavior and relationship with the press.

President Trump Friday afternoon, before leaving the White House for a weekend at his Bedminster, New Jersey golf club, will hold a meeting with his national security team on election safety.

Given his repeated claims that Russia did not interfere in the elections, today’s meeting will be just for show.
