‘Romulan Cloaking Device’: Internet Mocks Trump for Saying Stealth Bomber Is a ‘Plane You Can’t See’

America’s Commander in Chief has no idea what a stealth bomber is, and the Internet is having a great time mocking him for it. Stealth aircraft are designed to be difficult to detect with conventional radar and other technologies, helping them avoid being “seen” by the enemy, and avoid being “seen” by radar-guided weaponry.
That doesn’t mean they can’t be seen with the human eye.
They are not invisible.
Tell that to President Trump, who praised Lockheed Martin CEO Marillyn Hewson Thursday afternoon at a White House “Pledge to America’s Workers” event.
Trump compliments Lockheed Martin CEO Marillyn Hewson by indicating he has no idea how a “stealth plane” works: “She makes a plane you can’t see. It’s stealth! F-35. I hope you can’t see it at least, right?” pic.twitter.com/pox2AgBkd2

This is far from the first time Trump has said he believes stealth aircraft are literally invisible to the human eye:
F-35 program manager today: “Stealth does not make you invisible. It’s important to understand that.” Vs President Trump on 3 April: https://t.co/B0z5vqvYXW

The Internet had a glorious time with this, mocking Trump’s embarrassing ignorance.

On a live feed Trump just said about Lockheed:
“..makes a plane you can’t see, it’s stealth, F-35 I hope you can’t see it at least, right”Think about Fox’s reaction if Obama had said that#f35 #nothowstealthworks

Does Trump think we exist in The Jetson’s universe? Can someone please tell him that stealth doesn’t mean invisible? https://t.co/cSW8ofRMwU

TRUMP THINKS THE STEALTH IS INVISIBLE (WATCH VIDEO) 🤣🤣🤣
“Stealth is not invisibility. Rather, stealth gives the F-35 the ability to elude or greatly complicate an enemy’s ability to find and destroy an aircraft using a combination of design, tactics and technology.”

Most non-military folk understand the concept of stealth planes just fine. If Trump had been an F-117 pilot he’d still believe it’s invisible.

It’s like the stealth recording devices Putin had during Trump’s one on one and the pee tape video recorder https://t.co/mv7x4ITO55
