All-Star Pitcher Deletes Twitter Account After His Torrent of Anti-Gay, Racist, Misogynistic Tweets Are Exposed

Milwaukee Brewers relief pitcher Josh Hader in the middle of Tuesday night’s MLB All-Star game locked his Twitter account after news spread he had posted a large number of anti-gay, racist, and misogynistic tweets. The account was later deleted.
Among the offensive tweets, Hader wrote, “I hate gay people,” and “gay people freak me out.” He also appeared to use the “n” word many, many times.
Many other tweets use the word “hoes.”
Hader Tuesday night apologized, saying the tweets were from seven years ago.
“I’m ready for any consequences for what happened seven years ago,” he said.
But some screenshots posted appear to be from as recently as 2016. NCRM has not been able to verify those.
“I was in high school,” Hader said, as NBC News. “We’re still learning who we are in high school. You live and you learn. This mistake won’t happen again.”
“I’m deeply sorry for what I said,” he said, adding, “it doesn’t reflect any of my beliefs now.”

Some of his teammates have already said they stand by him.
But one reporter perfectly summed up the gravity of Hader’s comments:
A lot of professional athletes have regrettable tweets they can pass off as immaturity. Josh Hader’s tweets are not that kind. He outright degraded women, black people, and the LGBTQ community. You don’t take that back.
