Friday morning protestors blasted audio of crying migrant children in front of Kirstjen Nielsen‘s townhouse, hoping to catch the Homeland Security Secretary on her way to work. Nielsen apparently escaped out the back, but a few of the protestors were there waiting for her.
As she exited her home protestors shouted her out.
“You belong in The Hague!” they yelled, referring to the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court.
“History will remember you! History will judge you!” they continued, outraged at her and the Trump administration’s treatment of migrant children.
“You’re a modern-day Nazi!”
As she quickly ducked in to her government SUV, they continued, chanting, “Shame! Shame! Shame!”

Nielsen has become the face of the Trump administration’s decision to separate young migrant children – including babies – from their undocumented parents. She repeatedly insisted there was no Trump administration policy, and berated those who argued otherwise.
She also insisted the various federal agencies were merely enforcing the law, and said Congress had to change the law in order for the family separations to end. That was a lie.
