Trump Says He Will Be ‘Signing Something’ That May Pause Policy of Separating Kids From Parents

President Donald Trump reportedly says he will bet signing an order that will pause the administration’s separating children from their undocumented families.

“I’ll be signing something in a little while that’s going to do that,” the president said. “I’ll be doing something that’s somewhat preemptive and ultimately will be matched by legislation I’m sure.”

What exactly he will be signing is unknown, its scope is unknown, its duration is unknown.

Trump had hinted that he was “working on something” in a statement on Twitter Wednesday morning.

Fox News late Wednesday morning reported Trump was “weighing” signing an executive order to pause the separations.

CBS News also late Wednesday morning reported that Secretary Nielsen was on her way to the White House with an order the president could sign. As recently as Wednesday morning the president continued to publicly support the policy of ripping babies and children from their undocumented parents, insisting the “safety and security” of there nation is at stake.
